After lingering in the vicinity of Baghdad for some time, Ibn Battuta finally sets sail for India. He meets a poetic Mongol emperor along the way who renames him Son of the Mighty Eagle. Passing through Aden, he decides to venture down the eat African coast as far as Zanzibar and then returns to Muscat.
